20/10 : Annual General Meeting
The Kanata Lakes Community Association will be holding their Annual General Meeting at 7:30 pm on Wednesday 24th October 2007 in the Old Schoolhouse SS#1 off Goldridge Crescent.Agenda:
Presentation from Special Guest, Mike Russett, a Planner with the City of Ottawa Parks and Recreation Development on the latest situation on Walden Park.
- Update from our Ottawa City Councillor
- Reports from the Executive
- Elections of the Executive. The Executive consists of the President, Secretary (presently vacant), Treasurer, VP Communciations (presently vacant), VP Memberships, VP Environment, VP Planning and Development (presently vacant).
- Other urgent issues
This meeting is particularly important as there is a lot of new development activity in our neighbourhood. The new changes will permanently affect the daily life of practically all residents of Kanata Lakes, so come along and bring your neighbours with you.
For the Association to continue to work effectively, more volunteers are needed to adequately handle all the issues facing our community. You are therefore invited to consider how you can contribute to helping Kanata Lakes to become a resident friendly part of the City of Ottawa for the coming years.
Time permitting, some of the latest proposals for area developments will be presented for comment and discussion.
Everyone is important, so come along, be informed and participate.
